Ayree Koh

Violinist Ayree Koh has performed as a soloist and chamber musician with the Pan American Symphony, One World Symphony, New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music Program, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, and the Brandywine Ballet. She has also performed at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, CAMI Hall, Merkin Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Kimmel Center, and overseas in Japan, Sicily, Romania, and China.

At West Chester University, Ayree has served as concertmaster, assistant concertmaster, and principal second violin of the Symphony Orchestra and String Ensemble. In January 2004, she was a founding member and first violin of the Appassionata Quartet. In 2006, the quartet were the winners in the MTNA State and Eastern Division competitions. In May 2005, she began a collaboration with Arts in Motion in Philadelphia, PA working to bridge generational and cultural gaps while preserving and expanding the classical music tradition. In October 2005, she performed at Carnegie Hall with Red Bull Artsehcro for the world premiere of Raul Yanez and DJ Radar’s Concerto for Turntable.

Ayree is a graduate of the Juilliard School Pre-College Division where her teacher was Naoko Tanaka. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at West Chester University with Sylvia Ahramjian.
